A school in South Birmingham is looking for a passionate Design Technology Teacher for September 2008, to cover an absence of long term sickness and this position could go permanent for the right person. The candidate would need to be able to set the schemes of work, mark, plan and prepare.
The school has excellent transport links and is within easy access for all areas of Birmingham and surrounding areas of the west midlands. The school is renowned for a supportive and proactive approach to teaching and the Design Technology Department has been very successful.
The right candidate should have the following:
* QTS or at least 6 months teaching experience
* Teach KS3 and KS4 level Design Technology
* Be prepared to plan, mark work, get involved in departmental meetings and act as a Form Tutor
* Be resourceful, enthusiastic, dynamic and passionate.
* Be able to communicate with their consultant
* Work as a team within the department and the school as a whole
