Mechanical Estimator required to do preliminary design (for costing purposes), cost estimate and tender submittal of customer enquiries working for a unique company who design and manufacture plantrooms and work with most M&E Contractors.
Principle Responsibilities will include:
Price build
Value Engineering
Tender/ quotation submission.
Input to and maintenance of Enquiry Book register
Sales progression
Handover to projects
Monitor / maintain company KPIs for quotation response and conversion
Key Tasks will include:
Carry out enquiry review with Projects and Engineering Manager.
Enter enquiries on Enquiry Book
Enquiry risk assessment
Produce sketch designs (where necessary for costing purposes).
Prepare material take-off sheet.
Request quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors.
Prepare estimate from quotations received and labour / material quantities.
Prepare tender cost analyses
Prepare tender/quote and ensure return date is met.
Liaison with field sales
Participate in sales progression and maintain contact log / follow up requirements.
Participate in contract review with Projects and Engineering Manager.
Key Skills:
Qualified to HNC level (or equivalent) in Building Services HVAC Engineering or similar
Relevant experience in Mechanical Building Services Engineering
Industry knowledge
IT literate (MS Office)
AutoCAD (not essential)
Commercial awareness
Good communication skills
