Full Description:
Retail fashion store requires an experienced retail manager to head up this busy store based in Bourton on the Water. This is an established, well known brand and the store has a turnover of approx £1 million. The role will involve the following tasks:
• Ensure that the store achieves yearly budget and take remedial action where necessary
• Recruit and manage a team of sales staff and ensure that they are consistently aware of the sales targets
• Maintain visual merchanding standards and window presentation to maximise sales potential of each range
• Carry out local marketing activity to maximise sales
• Provide a high level of service to customers
• Ensure that all staff have good product knowledge including awareness of in-store promotional activities
• Manage staff rotas effectively to ensure that staffing levels maximise sales opportunities
• Train and develop staff in line with company guidelines, build the team and develop individual ability
• Monitor staff performance and carry out appraisals
• Ensure that all branch administration is completed to company procedure
• Take responsibilities for health and safety and security at the branch
Skills and experience required:
It is essential that you have previous fashion retail management experience and are confident in both managing and developing staff. This could be a good step up for an Assistant Manager in the fashion retail sector. In addition you will have experience of working towards sales targets and key performance indicators
Hours: 39 hours per week on a rota basis including every Saturday. On occasions you will also be expected to work on a Sunday. Normal daily hours are from 9am – 5.30pm.
Salary and benefits: up to £21,000 plus bonus (based on performance), staff discount on products, 28 days holidays, clothing allowance (business suit) and pension.
