Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen working for a prestigious organisation for a Lead Contract Analyst/Negotiator. This is a permanent role, and there are 2 positions available.
Candidates should be coming from a contract analysis background (either from the sales or purchasing side of the business). Contract values range from thousands to tens of millions of pounds, and candidates must be used to liaising with programme teams and other functions across the business. Military Industry experience is a strong preference.

Role Summary/Purpose:
Lead Contracts Analyst/Negotiator, Systems Military Contracts UK Operations
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible as the focal point for all contracting issues for assigned contracts/proposals which may also include contracts at other sites.
Responsible for the review/coordination of all assigned proposals and contracts.
Direct report to the Systems Military Contracts UK Operations Team Leader
Closely coordinates with the Counsels of the Systems businesses on specific contracting matters.
Demonstrates understanding of functional, business, and broad company objectives.
Effectively interfaces with all functions of the business including Manufacturing, Program Management, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, and Legal.
Provides contract advice and support to other functional areas and employees.
Provides alternative solutions to meet client requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Sound knowledge of contract formation, practises and regulations.
Degree in an applicable discipline or equivalent level of knowledge of experience.
Practical involvement in the preparation and negotiation of military and international contracts.
Desired Characteristics:
Extensive knowledge of contract formation and regulations.
Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve complex contractual issues.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
