Overview
A Senior Practitioner is required to work in this children and families team for a leading social services department based in the Coventry Area. Reporting into the Team Manager, you will work closely with a team of Qualified Social Workers and Assistant Social Workers to assess cases and produce case reports.

This is a temporary or permanent contract for a minimum of 3 months with a probable extension to 6 months

Main duties
In your role as Senior Practitioner Children and Families you will be responsible for:

?Undertaking court work
?Undertaking initial assessments
?Undertaking core assessments
?Presenting cases to panel
?Permanency planning
?Supporting social workers and social work assistants

The successful QSW will also have extensive experience of working with children and families

Key skills
To qualify for this Qualified Social Worker Children and Families, role, you will need to:

?Be registered with the GSCC
?have experience of working in a children and families team
?have a current CRB
?have current knowledge of the Children?s Act
